Hosting and traffic information
The hosting and security infrastructure may process standard request metadata needed to deliver and protect the site. The site does not use session replay or cross-site profiling.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics measures visits and how people use the site. It may process information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source, and interaction timing. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar browser identifiers for this purpose. The site uses this information to understand and improve its content, not to sell personal information.
Contact messages
If the contact form is enabled and you use it, the site processes your name, email, optional organization, contact reason, message, consent, and anti-abuse verification so David can respond. The site does not intentionally store message content in a database. The configured email provider will process the delivery.
Logs are designed to avoid message bodies and other unnecessary personal content. Do not submit credentials, confidential customer information, regulated data, or other sensitive material.
Anti-abuse checks
When the contact form is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile verifies that a submission is legitimate. Cloudflare may process technical request information for that purpose.
Local preferences
The light or dark theme choice is stored only in your browser’s local storage. It is not sent to this site as an identity signal.
Retention
Email correspondence may be retained as needed to manage the conversation and ordinary business records. Site and security logs should use the shortest practical retention period and exclude message content.
Your choices
You can limit analytics through your browser’s cookie, privacy, or tracking-protection settings. You may also contact David directly instead of using the form. For a privacy question or a request concerning information you submitted, email hello@davidspurlock.com.
Changes
This notice will be updated when the site’s data practices materially change.
